Household must-haves you will love

Household must-haves

Sometimes you just LOVE something so much that you have to share it. Especially if the Amazon truck is gonna show up in a minute with it. (Thanks, Amazon, for getting us through April and May. We couldn’t have done it without you!)

Without a long introduction, let me share 8 of my favorite household items this season. Plus a bonus.

My criteria: Usefulness, quality, price.  I’ve screened them for you!

Clothing/Laundry Items:

First, crystal clear hangers for clothing. I will never part with these. Rounded shoulders leave shirts and dresses crisp without any hanger marks. You gotta have these for knits.

Second, tall plastic hampers. Get two for your closet, and sort your clothing when you take it off.  I use one basket for black and white, the other for all colors. Carry one basket to the laundry room and wash two loads that are easy to sort. Helps cut down on one of the most time-consuming things (sorting).

Third, drawer dividers. So important to create organization and actually store more things. Great for baby/kid stuff, but for grownups too. Roll up neckties, socks, and underwear.

Fourth, Wash-Away Wonder Tape. Wait! Don’t run off because you don’t know about this. If you ever hem something, or put in a zipper, you know how hard it is to pin it all straight, then manage those sharp pins on the sewing machine. This is a complete game-changer because you use it to temporarily tape the fabric down, then sew right over it.  Then when it’s washed, the tape dissolves. Genius.

More stuff, but in the kitchen!

I love coffee. But not a lot at once. So I want a cup several times throughout the day. Taster’s Choice is the one that is really good; just read the reviews. You can keep your brew, just have something around for that quick cup. It’s important to find the best deal on it, because it’s kind of a premium item.

And if you’ve had to shop for a new microwave, you are exhausted. So many things to consider. I had no idea how involved that search would be. Here’s our winner and we love it: LG Microwave

Something else that’s hard to decide on: A toaster oven. I was given the perfect choice for Mother’s Day. Not too big, not too small. Just right. Mueller Toaster Oven.

And one more thing: My hand mixer. I just don’t have the space for a big stand mixer. But this little machine is great. It was a gift also, and I love it. If you’re not sure about those funky looking beaters don’t worry. They work great, and they clean up great. Everything fits into a little plastic box that’s included. That’s nice!

One last thing. Corner protectors.

I have discovered that toddlers and old people have a lot of things in common. We both need to be protected. We run into things and get boo-boos. We shouldn’t wear socks in the hall, and we don’t need to be around sharp corners.

It won’t take you long to know how I came to this conclusion.

Look what I found:  ROUND corner protectors.  Each one looks like a cute clear marble, not those industrial gray vinyl corner protectors. I love these. The design is just brilliant. Three separate adhesive pads let you choose how to attach.

There are other collections here also! More household helpers that make life easier.

Check out the July edition,  the August edition, and the September edition of the product recommendations.
