CHRISTMAS BOOKS
We love Christmas Books. And we have lots. They aren’t always about Jesus, though. So, here are 3 Christmas books you will love.
There’s nothing wrong with books about polar bears and Christmas trees. I love them. We watch countless Christmas movies and I love the traditions we have.
I just don’t want to forget Him.
So of course I’m recommending that you consider adding something special to your season, to reconnect with Jesus.
If you do the “want, need, wear, read” gifting, I’d like to make three suggestions for the “read” for you. (You know this method, right? Get them something they want, something they need, something to wear, something to read.)
Or, if you’re like me, and you just get all kinds of stuff, I still suggest these books! You can trust my descriptions below.
And I’ll be quick.
A Christmas Book For Advent
You will love Discovering Christmas by Amanda Jass. It’s a precious hardback book with 25 days of devotionals and activities. This is a book I pre-ordered, and it just came!
I don’t think you’ll find a more complete read-aloud (or read-with) book for children during Advent.
This book — it’s jam-packed with Scripture truth. And the way each devotional is introduced is just so natural and easy to read.
I can’t say enough good things about it.
An Adorable Read-Along
I just purchased my copy of Seeing Christmas by Karen Stacy. It is such a happy kid book.
You won’t believe the bright colors and the rhythmic poetry in this sweet tale. It contains a really special reminder about what Christmas really means, and incorporates Scripture in a beautiful and unexpected way within the rhyme. The illustrations are all full-page and so vibrant.
And
Of course you want my latest book, Why Did He Have The Manger? It’s also a really sweet read. Makes it easy to really talk about that Bethlehem night.
You can get a sneak preview of it right here.
Like vegetables, all these books are good for you. Maybe better than vegetables! 😄 I really am excited about them.
