BEST TOASTER OVEN FOR EVERYDAY USE
That’s all you want, a clear choice to cut through all the data.
Just one toaster oven that will
- cook your food,
- stay clean,
- and share space with you on the countertop.
It’s this: Mueller Toaster Oven.
You can read the brief review below, and maybe it will help you. Either you’ll decide this is the one! Or you’ll realize you have something else to research.
WHAT’S THE ADVANTAGE OF A TOASTER OVEN?
Why even get one, if you have an oven? This was my position for years.
But now, seeing how much less energy and heat I’m producing for those tiny toasting jobs, it’s making summer in the kitchen a lot better.
I actually looked at several over the years, but information overload always got me. So I didn’t purchase.
Has that ever happened to you? Paralysis by analysis? Suddenly there are way more questions than you thought, and it gets to be a major decision. Your brain can’t always compare so many features, prices, etc., and making a spreadsheet just seemed like overkill.
Anyway, finally someone else made the decision for me. I’m so happy. I don’t know why I had to make it so complicated. Anyway, it was a great gift and I love it.
This oven has a top heating element and a bottom, like many. It will broil (from the top), bake (from the bottom), or toast (from both).
It has a function control, to select which of those cooking methods you need, a temperature control, and a timer. That’s it.
This little oven is compact, and doesn’t intrude. It’s tastefully designed with enough of a classic look. And it works beautifully.
It’s simple to operate and there’s nothing to program! No clock, no electronic settings. Just manual controls that are clearly marked.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
Well, most frequently it browns my delicious morning Ezekiel English Muffins. I’ve enjoyed these for years, spread with a little almond butter. These are hearty and dense, made with sprouted grain. The recipe is actually taken from the Bible. (Now see, doesn’t that make me a credible Bible girl?)
Bread will be evenly toasted also. I love Dave’s Killer Bread. Have you tried it? I eat it because it’s hearty and delicious. Which is a good thing, since it costs a little more than regular loaf bread.
A nutrition coach told me a number of years ago that peanut butter on whole-grain toast is the best kind of breakfast, and now I’m hooked.
I think I love bread.
This oven also will toast frozen waffles beautifully. Especially those frozen chocolate waffles. What a treat. Let’s call them dessert. Because even though they have chocolate we will add the syrup, too. Right?
If you have something to reheat that you know isn’t suitable for the microwave, use this little powerhouse. Your food will have the same texture it would if heated in your regular oven.
Why the toaster oven instead of a toaster? Sometimes I want my toast broiled. Especially cheese toast, or an English muffin. A toaster won’t do that. But this oven will do what a toaster does! That’s the winner for me.
IS IT SAFE?
The timer is a great function, because it just turns off. After I’m done I also take the extra precaution of unplugging it.
Call me crazy. Just the “belt-and-suspenders-too” kind of double check I want to put into place before I need it. (They don’t call me Calamity Grammye for nothing! The whole reason they gave me this is to keep me from burning down the house!)
And yes, I’m that lady who covers the little pan/tray for the food in aluminum foil. It keeps the tray fresh and clean.
THE BOTTOM LINE
I’d say this: If the goal was creating the best toaster oven for everyday use, they nailed it.
These product reviews are hopefully a way to help you cut through the massive amount of information and just get a recommendation that you can trust.
Maybe just seeing the basic features listed here helps you see something: That some of those crazy extras are just not going to make your life easier.
