Never been? Here’s a great UNofficial Hilton Head Island Vacation Guide to help you decide whether you want to try it. Food, Condominiums, Shopping.
Here’s your UNofficial vacation guide for Hilton Head Island!
The guide is a printable file, a PDF. It gives a general description of the places to enjoy on the island.
If you’ve already been, there probably will be no surprises for you here.
Next month there will be a vacation packing guide to help you with planning.
This series of articles gives you a preview of what’s in the Vacation Planner.
Even if circumstances prevent you from taking a trip like this right now, start yourself a file and collect some information. Then when you’re ready, it will all be there!
I’m such a fan of this place. I even started a Pinterest board on it that you can visit: Grammye’s Pinterest Hilton Head Board.
You’ll see lots of people have their favorite hangouts and ways to do things.
The Vacation Planner gives you plenty of places to visit on the island. Plus lots of packing tips and trip planning advice.
So click the image of the e-book, My Vacation Planner, to get your free copy.
I’ve got a few of my amateur photographs for you.
We love to stay at the Seacrest condominiums in the Coligny area. Here’s the view looking out over the courtyard to the ocean!
Take a look: the sunrises are breathtaking. So are sunsets.
An aerial view of Harbortown shows how pretty this little harbor is. Stroll along and watch the boats, climb the lighthouse steps, or enjoy your sightseeing in a rocking chair overlooking the waterfront. Lots of places to shop and to grab a snack or a meal.
We’ve gone through Savannah on our way home before. A fun side trip. I’m sharing a picture from Fort Pulaski. It is fascinating to consider the design and function of the landscape and architecture, and to explore all the different areas.
Sigh.
So far, 2020 has been anything but ordinary. Vacation plans for many of us are not going to be possible this year, for various reasons.
I hope that you are able to find some kind of peaceful experience to be a “consolation prize” if you can’t go anywhere. Maybe it’s just a morning on the porch, watching the storm roll in.
Whether you go to Hilton Head Island or somewhere else, and whether it’s now or another year, please look at one amazing travel item from The Container Store. It’s the Eagle Creek Pack-It system.
I love this packing assistant. To fully appreciate what you do with it, watch the video on The Container Store website. It truly is just like that.
A vacation, even the anticipation of one, can be so rejuvenating.
I hope these vacation posts reach you in time to help plan yours.
As always, thanks for being here and looking around. May you enjoy some peace today.

P.S. If you’re already a subscriber of GFP, just scoot over to the Free Resource Library and get your copy! It’s on the shelf with all the Vacation Books!
“Signing up” simply means receiving e-mail from Grammye — you’ll get the planner e-mailed, and then you’ll also get an e-mail when each blog post is published, about once a week. You also will get access to the Free Resource Library, a collection of printable recipes, quotes, and other helps.
